Ganesha sculpture, crafted from a single piece of camphor wood, with the smiling face elegantly decorated in Sterling Silver. The forehead and the auspicious scroll have been crafted from Gold-plated Sterling Silver. The deity has been brought to life with Jade bead on his hand, decorated with Gold-plated Sterling Silver rat and set on black marble stand.
Ganesha is worshipped as the deity of fortune and success, and the remover of obstacles.
He is associated with arts, education and trade. The most striking feature of Ganesha is his elephant head, symbolic of auspiciousness, strength and intellectual prowess. The elephant is the largest and strongest of animals of the forest. Yet he is gentle and, amazingly and a vegetarian.
After sourcing the camphor wood, this piece took 5 weeks with over 5 designers and craftsmen involved at various stages to finish it.
